Bridge and Cathedral

Just a little something that took forever.

New Areas

I've been working for a while on a new area. Here's a sneak peak at the work I've done.
This is just a small portion of the new area, which will be completed soon.  More pics to come.

Back into Minecraft

Minecraft has taken a backseat to classes, but now its summer and classwork has really thinned out, so I'm back.  I recently downloaded MCMap Live and mapped out my level.

The city looks so small compared to what I have explored.  I've come up with dozens of ideas to fill the space, and will continue to update this blog when new things are built.

A big thanks to notpenguin who has been building for a while now and adding awesome structures.

Church

The Church is where my architectural styles started to develop.  I based my design on many other Minecraft churches I found on the forums.  I did however add my own spin on things.  I left half block open spaces in the roof and added glowstone in the ceiling to light everything up.

With the texture pack I'm using (customized Painterly Pack), I added paintings that look like architectural details.

Row Houses

This section of the city is filled with mainly houses with a couple of shops and a Church.  All of the houses are fully furnished with a sewer system.
The architecture style still hasn't evolved much from the beginning, but this is where I put the level on a server and abused the /give command.  No more mining from this point on.

Over looking the Beach Community with the Farm in the background.
The next area of expansion is the Beach Community.  This area includes a motel with a restaurant and convenience store, a high-rise apartment building, docks, and several beach shops.
Motel on upper two floors with convenience store on left and restaurant on right.
High-rise exterior
Interiors of typical high-rise apartment
The Docks
The beach shops with umbrellas.  Unfinished tower in the background.

Spawn Point and Farm

We begin our tour at the beginning, the spawn point.  I added the lights and the supply hut a while into construction.
I began this world in Single-player Alpha, without the use of cheats or inventory editors.
The Farm began with a small house and a mine behind it.  The supply shed and barn followed after.

First Post

This blog will mainly focus on a single world I have been working on for a couple of months.  I think its ready to show the world.

WELCOME TO DEEVILLE!
